Overview

Let’s enjoy a unique night visit to the most prestigious museum in the city. We will climb the illuminated pre-Columbian pyramid where the Larco Museum is built, and we will discover the treasures of ancient Peru as we walk through its corridors and galleries. At the end we can enjoy an exquisite dinner in a magical and cozy atmosphere overlooking the beautiful gardens.

After hotel pickup in Lima, travel to the Larco Museum site for a tour with an expert local guide. Enter the museum, housed in an 18th-century mansion built atop a 7th-century pyramid, and begin your enriching exploration of the exhibits. The astonishing variety of pre-Columbian pieces is truly impressive: you will see more than 50,000 ancient Peruvian vessels; admire glittering jewels and intricate masks; marvel at the precise detail of Moche portrait vessels (100 – 800 AD) and ceramic sculptures that resemble human faces; and discover ceramics created by the ancient Inca, Nazca and Chancay cultures. The Larco Museum was inaugurated by the renowned Peruvian archaeologist Rafael Larco Hoyle in 1926. This place has different galleries with permanent exhibitions, as well as a gold and silver gallery, and also, one in particular with erotic ceramics.

Duration: 2 hours

After gaining more historical insight, take a seat in the elegant dining room to begin your dining experience. Enjoy the atmospheric ambiance and beautifully sculpted gardens while sipping a freshly blended pisco sour and chatting with your companion. Delight your palate with regional specialties.
